The first ever contest for “Bulgaria’s Best Eyes”, organized by the leading photo studio for iris photography, Iris Studio, turned into a real phenomenon, surpassing all expectations. More than 100,000 people found out about the campaign and thousands joined in and had their eyes photographed. But there could only be one winner!

2,000+ people took part!

From the very beginning, the contest generated a huge amount of interest. Lines of people snaked outside the Iris Studio studios in Sofia and Plovdiv, eager to see (pun intended) if they could win the title of the most beautiful eyes in the country and win prizes.

High engagement on social media also contributed to the success of the contest. Posts about the campaign reached a reach of over 100,000 in just a few days, with the most interested actively sharing with their friends.

In fact, the communication was so successful that our customers asked us to end it early as the interest proved to be many times their expectations!

What eyes did participants have?

Only about 10% of all people have blue eyes. Organize an eye beauty contest and this stat gets turned upside down — over 60% of those who entered the Iris Studio competition were blue-eyed. 50 of them had two-tone eyes (heterochromia) — something even rarer!

This shows something not at all surprising to us, but still curious — the stigma that blue eyes are the most attractive. And is this really the case? What eye color do the winners have? We don’t know yet, it depends entirely on the voting on Iris Studio’s social media, where 40 photographs have been shared, among which you can choose your top 3!

Follow Iris Studio’s social media to find out! This contest is just the beginning. We and Iris Studio promise to continue organizing exciting events that give people the opportunity to express their creativity and individuality.
